Dr. Chuck Betters

Dr. Betters & Pastor Dan share from their hearts as they lead their home church through one of life's most difficult times - the loss of an 11-year old Covenant child in a boating accident. When the Betters lost their son Mark at only 16 years old they could not have known then that God was preparing them to hold up others who would one day walk the same dark path. These sermons offer a glimpse of hope and the opportunity to see light in an otherwise dark situation.

Mike and I both felt we were on holy ground as we watched this. Your honesty and boldness to say the hard things are what helped us to crawl out of our hell. Thank you for this and for being willing to go back into the darkness with this family. You truely are filled with the likeness of Christ and we are better Christian just because we know you...
Lots of prayers,love and respect,
Mike and Donna Bishop

Jim and Rose's Gravatar Dear Pastor Betters, We want to thank you and Thank our great God who has prepared you to be the comfort and help that Jake and Wendy will need in the tough days to come. The hope and the assurance that they will need can only come through the gospel of Jesus Christ. You and your family have upheld and supported Jake and Wendy through the opening days of this terrible but real nightmare. Someone once said, "preach the gospel and if necessary use words." You are living proof of the gospel through your lives that there will be better days ahead, but their grief will always be there. Our deepest appreciation for you and your church family who gave of themselves to the extended families of Jake and Wendy. Ashley is a very precious child of God, and she left her imprint wherever she went. We just listened to the funeral service again and your Sunday morning message. May God give you the strength to persevere in this important ministry that he has prepared beforehand for you to do. (Ephesians 2:10) You have pointed all of us to Christ and to the cross. May we work together to surround Jake and Wendy with our love and support and to others as we prioritize what is truly important in our daily lives. Until he comes or takes us home, may he fill you with grace and peace in great abundance. With deepest appreciation, Jim and Rose Gapinski
