Welcome to MARKINC Ministries !

Sharon and I just returned from a short time of rest and relaxation, a perfect opportunity to remember the many good gifts God gives us every day. As we sat on the balcony of our condo and watched the sun rise over the Atlantic ocean, I commented, "Another day. A reminder of God's covenant of grace and promise of life."
That comment brought to mind other reminders of God's grace. Last fall our grandchildren helped us rake and bag MILLIONS of leaves. The grandchildren reminded us that every task can be fun when they pulled us down into the crunchy piles and with lots of laughter and glad abandon tossed the leaves up into the air. Another opportunity to remember God's covenant of life. The falling dead leaves make room for new life. I hate Delaware winters but hope reigns when I remember that summer will come.
That picture of spring following winter reminds us that God promises joy after a night of weeping. And that is one of the messages of MARKINC Ministries. The purpose of MARKINC Ministries is to use every technological means possible to "make abundant riches known in the name of Christ." Because of our own life journey, we are often asked to counsel or comfort broken hearted people. To that end, we are committed to producing and distributing resources designed to help turn shattered hearts toward the heart of God. Take a few minutes to browse our site and check out what's available. Check out Sharon's book, Treasures in Darkness, A Grieving Mother Shares Her Heart. She opens up the journals she kept after our son's death in order to encourage others experiencing loss to lean into their pain and experience God's presence as they seek a new level of normal. This book is not just for bereaved mothers. You can purchase this book in any bookstore but when you order it through MARKINC Ministries, you're helping us continue to "make abundant riches known in the name of Christ" through this multi-media outreach. Every page of this book is covered with tears but hope shines through.
You'll also notice the special offer on our front page, my new series, Is The Church Sliding Into Irrelvance? I preached this in the context of the horror experienced at Virginia Tech. Does anyone care what the "church" believes? Why are so many leaving mainline denominations? What hope do we have for our children?
It's my hope that you will discover lasting solutions to lasting peace as you listen to our broadcasts or share our resources with others. Please let me know how these resources help turn your heart toward the heart of our God.
In His grip,
Dr. Chuck Betters
Preacher/Teacher, MARKINC Ministries
