About Sharon Betters
The journey God has marked out for Sharon Betters uniquely 
qualifies her to speak on the topic – Is God Sovereign? Can You Trust Him? She lives in Bear, Delaware, is a pastor’s wife, mother of four and grandmother of fourteen. She is a nationally known retreat and women’s events speaker and author. Her book, Treasures of Encouragement, was written from her heart after the tragic death of her sixteen year old son. It is a Core Curriculum Bible study book for the Women in the Church of the Presbyterian Church in America. With her husband, Chuck, she co-authored Treasures of Faith, a study of Hebrews 11, also used by the Women in the Church as a recommended Bible study. As a freelance writer, Sharon has had articles published in Today’s Christian Woman, Virtue, and Christian Parenting Today, among other magazines. Her article, “My Battle With Breast Cancer” which appeared initially in Today’s Christian Woman, has been reprinted in Amazing Love (Tyndale House), a compilation of personal women’s stories. Her newest book, Treasures in Darkness, A Grieving Mother Shares Her Heart, is an intimate look into her own wrestling to reconcile God's love with his sovereignty after the death of her son, Mark. Sharon contributed to the New Women's Devotional Bible published by Zondervan. She enjoys teaching women’s Bible study in her local church and serving on the women’s ministry team. Sharon enjoys writing and speaking at numerous retreats and women’s events all over the United States, even in Africa and Japan. But her greatest joys are laughing and talking with her husband, children, and grandchildren, sharing family activities, relaxing on the beach with a good book. Her newest adventure is learning how to enjoy a round of golf with her husband.
