Purpose

As the events of September 11, 2001 unfolded MARKINC Ministries recognized an unmet need that Firefighter's, EMT's, Paramedics, and Police Officers were faced with.  As part of the Learning To See Series, "First Responders:  Wounded Healers" was developed to help address the challenges first responders experience on a daily basis.  This CD exists to help them cope with these experiences.

Origin

In the fall of 2006, the First Responder's Ministry was birthed from a deep desire to support and encourage men and women who responded to the traic shooting at an Amish schoolhouse located in Lancaster County, PA.  This was the first coordinated effort to distribute the First Responders:  Wounded Healers CD into the hands of those responders who were on the front line of the tragedy.  The First Responders Team continues to travel around the country focused on reaching out to First Responders impcted by the pain and suffering associated with LODD (Line of Duty Death) and other significant life-impacting events.

Mission

The mission of the First Responders Ministry is to be obedient to God's calling - to be a shining light in darkness.  Our prayer is to bring hope to First Responders.  This hope can only be given by God's amazing Grace and love in His Son Jesus Christ.
