Never Let Me GoNever Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro

Tragic, devastating and a sure sign of things to come. A story of science and medicine with no moral compass. For those who share my world view, this is eerily similiar to what's already happening on the abortion front. Beautifully and simply written, yet still a gripping page-turner.

The HelpThe Help by Kathryn Stockett

LOVED this book! The characters were so richly developed, I felt like I knew them personally. The story flowed and moved well - it was a quick read for being almost 500 pages! Really liked the fact that the author had personal experience with what she was writing about. It definitely made for a more authentic historical fiction. Would recommend this book to anyone!

My LobotomyMy Lobotomy by Howard Dully

Excellent read! Heart wrenching and tragic story of child abuse and neglect and how it affected one man's whole life, and the lives of those he came in contact with. The ripple effect of abuse is staggering. But this man's story also concludes with such redemption and hope!

The Book of Lost ThingsThe Book of Lost Things:  A Novel by John Connolly

A wonderful story about a boy who faces his worst fears and becomes a man of honor. Really loved the fairy tale stories weaved throughout. Also liked the fantastical feel, knowing all the while that the underlying story is about life lessons in the real world.
