What is meant by “In His Grip”?

Thanks for your question. I cannot answer for what your pastor means when he says it. But when I say or sign a letter "In His Grip" I am referring to the fact that there are times when my faith is weak and I feel as though I am losing my grip on comprehending the love of God. It is at those times when I believe it is God who holds me even tighter in His grip as I begin to let go. As someone said to Jesus, "Lord, I believe. Help my unbelief." I am always being held in His grip but especially during those hard times. I hope this explains it.
