What a Guy!

Guess Who?  Not me......

Husband -  "So What do you want to do one more time before we head north?"

Me - "Let's have dinner on the beach and watch the sunset."

On our way to the beach -

Husband - Looks like it might rain.

Me - You know Florida - it threatens but is over quickly. (Hoping he wouldn't give up on the beach idea....)

Rain pouring on us as we set up our chairs and food......Me - It will pass - you know these Florida showers.

Husband - "You sound like that golf commercial where it's pouring with no hope of letting up and the guy says, 'It will pass, just give it a few minutes....'"

A beach crowded with families and friends, picnicing and waiting for the sunset, empties out as the rain pours down, except, for the two of us......husband determined to give wife her wish of one last sunset in Naples......

 What a guy!

There's hope - see the sun shining behind the dark clouds?

The raindrops stop, the beach-goers return and a holy silence descends as we watch the glory of God unfold in a magnificent demonstration of His orderly creation......as the sun dips below the ocean, as though it's falling off a shelf, applause breaks out and husband quietly says, "Even the rocks will cry out the glory of God....do they know they are applauding  Him?"

A picture of God's covenant promises....Worth the Wait

Perhaps even more glorious because of the storm.....

In  His grip,

Sharon
