"After reading Treasures in Darkness, a mother emailed Sharon to relay her own story of personal loss and grief.  Sharon sent her the Loss of a Loved One CD.  The mother wrote us to say, “Thank you for the gift….It really is so meaningful to be able to talk to someone or to read about someone’s feeling who truly understands the grief and heartache a parent feels."

"We're very pleased to be airing his sermons over the Pilgrim Radio Network - they've ministered to so many through the years.  Incidentally, just yesterday I shared your resource "When M.S. is Your Constant Companion" with a part time staff member here who's had M.S. for 20 years.  He was very encouraged to hear it."

"I prayed for the Lord to lead me to material for my new mentoree. Yesterday, I learned of her husband's adulterous relationships.  I've been surfing the web for resources for her. I see many that sound good, but then I'd see that they weren't, so on I'd move on. Then, boom!  I'm faced with the introductory message that Sharon wrote 5 years ago and this wonderful broadcast.  What a blessing this will be for my sister in Christ. Thank you so much for your continuum of open transparency."

“I received your CD today.  Thank you!  It was a wonderful treasure for me.  For the first time, I feel like there is someone who truly relates to what I am feeling.  I cannot tell you how very much I appreciated you and your husband’s utter honesty.  Since the loss of my daughter, I have experienced so many different emotions….I have realized that it’s through our honesty that God receives glory.  God is using your ministry in a mighty way.  I know that you would rather have your child back however, I hope it brings some sort of consolation to you to see how the Lord is bringing forth beauty from ash.  I pray that in time, He will do the same with my loss."

“A few days ago I received the CD on Alcoholism with the interview with Steve and Tracy.  I had it on the desk and today I finally got up the courage to listen to it.  I am married and my husband suffers with alcoholism and I can relate to Tracy on many aspects.  Our children have issues that stem from his problem but I believe God is going to deliver all of us from this.  Would you please pray for all of us, that God’s will be done in our home and lives.  May the Lord bless your ministry.  Thank you”

"I was listening today to an interview with Dr. Betters and his wife about losing a loved one and the different "firsts" that await the one left. My husband died suddenly but not unexpectedly on Nov. 5th. He was 75 yo and I am 62. We were happily married for 30 years and do not have children but a wonderful church family and dear friends. This will not only be my first Christmas without him but it was also his birthday followed the day after by my birthday. Our Heavenly Father is good and only does good and He is greatly sustaining me during this time. I found the interview very helpful and would like to listen to it again!"

" My Mom and Dad also sent for the Loss of a Child interview on CD of you and your wife regarding the death of your son. I am so sorry that happened and, at the same time, was so blessed by the words and heart of you and Sharon that came through on that CD. My husband and I had a daughter who was born with several severe birth defects back in 1988. After many years of struggle on all our parts, and to make a long difficult story short, she now lives with a pediatrician about 40 minutes from here. It is not the same as your loss, but it is a loss. We had so much of the anger and feelings that you described. I have been carrying so much guilt and shame with me for several years. Your interview relieved my soul. I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you and your wife for your honesty and your gift to us."

"One woman who listened to the CDs in “The Demons of War” said that she wished she and her husband had listened to them years ago because it could have spared them so much hurt in their marriage related to his return from Iraq and the emotional isolation that followed. She listened to the CDs first and then had her husband listen to them. She said it was a very healing time for them because they were able to have one of the most honest conversations they have ever had surrounding those issues."

"I listen to your sermons on Pilgrim Radio…I wanted to share with you how much they have blessed me.  I am a widow of 2 ½ years now, with 2 teenage boys and a married step-daughter with 2 grandchildren.  We all went through a very difficult time with the sickness and passing of my husband. He died from cancer…I have the CD’s you made with the woman from your church who had walked exactly where I was walking just before I did.  They were amazing to listen to. I thank you Chuck for your ministries, thank your wife and everyone who works at MARKINC Ministries."

"I’ve heard you mention several times about the death of your son, how it affected your life and ministry. I could never truly relate to how you felt, until now. My 19 year old son took his life. It was easy for us to say, “Yes Lord,” during the good times. Now, during the bad times we are learning what it really means to trust in the Lord. Thank you for telling your story in a way that helped prepare me for this horrific time."
